Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, addressed several issues in a series of posts on February 10, 2026.

In her first post, Salinas criticized House Republicans and former President Trump for their approach to economic relief. She wrote on February 10: “House Republicans and President Trump are doing NOTHING to help you pay your utility bill, make next month’s rent, or feed your children. In fact, their big UGLY bill is making it even HARDER for you and your families to live your lives.”

Later that day, Salinas recognized Black History Month and highlighted the importance of acknowledging Black Oregonians’ contributions. On February 10 she posted: “Our state’s history is not complete without recognizing the many positive contributions that countless Black Oregonians have made. As we celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth, take a moment to learn about Black history keepers here in #Oregon.”

In another message on February 10, Salinas informed constituents about the differences between emergency hotlines. She stated: “988 and 911 are here to help you in some of your most difficult times, but they both have some key differences. Take a moment to learn more https://t.co/uXM6ICq41g”

Andrea Salinas has served in Congress since 2023 after representing constituents in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994.
