The message was posted as ongoing debates continue over the allocation and oversight of federal funds for school mental health programs.
Later that day, Salinas recognized former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s career and influence. On November 6, she wrote, “Nancy Pelosi’s service has made our nation stronger and has helped millions of Americans. She led with strength and grace, and I’m lucky to have served alongside her. She inspired countless women across the country, and I could not be more grateful for all she’s done.”.
Addressing current political events, Salinas also commented on the ongoing government shutdown attributed to Republican lawmakers. In a tweet from November 6, she said, “As the Republican shutdown drags on, I want to hear from you if you’ve been impacted. If you or someone you know has been affected by this government shutdown, please fill out my form to share your story https://t.co/2mX7mBjlF3”.
