Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed several national issues through a series of posts on her official Twitter account.
On November 20, 2025, Salinas announced her support for the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, stating: “I proudly voted to release the Epstein files. Watch to hear more from me on yesterday’s vote https://t.co/q3c6U1X5V3”.
Later that day, she marked Transgender Day of Remembrance with a call to end violence against transgender individuals. She wrote: “Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance — a time for us to honor those who lost their lives to anti-transgender violence. Senseless acts of violence and hate must stop. I will continue working to ensure that everyone can proudly live out their authentic lives free from fear.” (November 20, 2025).
In another post dated November 20, 2025, Salinas criticized actions by former President Donald Trump’s administration regarding immigration enforcement. She stated: “President Trump has ordered his Administration to target and terrorize immigrant communities at any cost. Yesterday, I spoke at the Committee on Homeland Security hearing on their cruel treatment, which has sent waves of fear through our neighborhoods — it must stop, NOW. Watch https://t.co/02yQugmRxA”.
Andrea Salinas began serving in Congress in 2023 after previously representing constituents in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. Born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently residing in Tigard, she holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
