Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, representing Oregon’s 6th District since 2023, used her social media account on July 30, 2025, to provide updates and guidance to constituents regarding local emergencies and federal services.

In a message posted in the early hours of July 30, Salinas urged residents near an evacuation area to stay alert. She wrote, “If you or someone you know is near the evacuation area, please stay informed, follow official guidance, and share these updates with your neighbors. Thank you to our first responders for their fast action to help keep our community safe.”

Later that day, Salinas addressed concerns about energy policy and infrastructure legislation in another post. She stated, “As the demand for electricity rises, Republicans’ Big, Ugly Bill kills new infrastructure scheduled to strengthen our power grid, which will raise your electric bill, kill climate-smart jobs, and block American innovation. Their ‘beautiful’ bill only puts our energy future at”

In a third message published on July 30, she highlighted resources available through her office for those needing assistance with federal agencies. Salinas said, “If you or a neighbor need help navigating a federal agency, do not hesitate to reach out to my office at https://t.co/Uvx9DX6lA0. We have Spanish speakers on staff who are ready to assist you. (2/2)”

Andrea Salinas has served in Congress since 2023 after previously working in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. Born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently residing in Tigard at age 53, she holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley earned in 1994.
