Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, representing Oregon’s 6th District since 2023, recently addressed several key issues in a series of posts on her official social media account.
On October 10, 2025, Salinas commented on actions taken by former President Trump and his administration regarding federal employment. She stated, “My statement on Trump and his Administration arbitrarily firing federal workers.”
Later that day, she highlighted Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the prevalence of domestic violence among women. In her post dated October 10, 2025, she wrote, “October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Around 1 in 3 women will experience domestic violence in their lives. As a member of the @DemWomenCaucus leadership, I stand with survivors and am working to amplify their voices, provide support, and ensure safety and dignity for”.
Salinas also marked World Mental Health Day on October 10 with a message emphasizing the importance of mental health care. She posted, “Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay. Nobody should have to face their struggles alone without care or support. As Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Mental Health Caucus, I’ll keep working to build a world where mental health is treated as a right, not just a privilege. Learn more from”.
Andrea Salinas was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994. Before serving in Congress beginning in 2023, she was a member of the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023.
