Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on her social media account on January 6, 2026, addressing issues related to government transparency, health care costs, and economic challenges faced by American families.

In her first post at 21:25 UTC, Salinas called for the release of undisclosed documents, stating “Release the full files.”

Later that evening at 21:56 UTC, she addressed rising health care premiums and criticized Republican lawmakers for allowing certain tax credits to expire. She wrote: “Millions of Americans are facing higher health care premiums because Republicans let ACA tax credits expire. This week, the House can vote to lower costs — or keep letting families pay more.”

At 22:58 UTC, Salinas commented on broader economic concerns affecting Americans. In her post she stated: ” Prices are up from the grocery store to health care Families are struggling to make ends meet Trump’s tariffs are still causing chaos Affordability was never a priority for President Trump and his Administration. They lied.”

Andrea Salinas has served in Congress since 2023 after previously holding office in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. Born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently residing in Tigard, Salinas graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
