Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing healthcare costs, legislative achievements for indigenous communities, and criticisms of Republican economic promises.
On November 14, 2025, Salinas reached out to constituents about rising healthcare premiums. She wrote, “I’m fighting to lower costs, and I want to hear from you. If your health care premiums are expected to rise, click the link below and fill out the form.”
Later that evening, she highlighted her legislative work on behalf of indigenous groups during Native American Heritage Month. Salinas stated on November 14, 2025: “The first piece of legislation I passed in Congress was to rectify a long-standing injustice faced by the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde. As Native American Heritage Month continues, I will continue to support and uplift indigenous voices at home and in Washington, D.C.”
On November 15, 2025, Salinas criticized former President Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans regarding their economic pledges. Andrea Salinas has served in Congress since 2023 after representing her district in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
