Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, has recently addressed several national policy issues through her social media posts.

On February 20, 2026, Salinas posted: “Taxpayer dollars should go towards making life more comfortable for Americans, not more dangerous. ICE needs to stop harming our communities. Accountability can’t wait. Click below for more on how I am working to rein in ICE.” She linked further information about her efforts regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Later that day, she shared a statement about a recent Supreme Court decision: “Read my statement on the Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision to strike down President Trump’s tariffs.”

In another post from February 20, Salinas discussed healthcare access in rural areas: “Folks in rural communities shouldn’t have to drive hours away for medical care or have to worry about delivering a baby in the car. My new bill helps rural providers stay afloat so they can keep offering care to the people who live nearby. Read more “

Andrea Salinas has served as Oregon’s 6th District representative since 2023 after previously serving in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas earned her BA from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994.
