Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, addressed several topics on her social media account on April 15, 2026.
In a post from that day, Salinas commented on reproductive health policy, stating: “This is absurd. The Reproductive Health Equity Act ensures that folks who need coverage for reproductive health services can access them. It’s a lifesaving bill. How and why people access reproductive health care should be between them and their provider — not the courts.” (April 15, 2026).
Later in the day, she reminded constituents about the tax filing deadline: “It’s #TaxDay! Today is your LAST day to file your taxes, so make sure you get those in before it’s too late.” (April 15, 2026).
Salinas also announced federal funding for local development projects: “I delivered $1 million to the City of Dallas, unlocking hundreds of acres for housing and economic development! I spoke with the city’s Public Works Director about this big win for #OR06.” (April 15, 2026).
Andrea Salinas has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after previously serving in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
