Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, has recently addressed issues ranging from reproductive rights to public safety and immigration enforcement through a series of posts on her official Twitter account.
On January 23, 2026, Salinas marked the anniversary of a landmark Supreme Court decision by stating: “On the 53rd anniversary of #Roe, I joined my @ReproCaucus & @DemWomenCaucus colleagues in a conversation with Planned Parenthood President Alexis McGill Johnson on our fight to safeguard reproductive freedom. Republicans are continuing their extremely unnecessary attack against https://t.co/RyvutwXJgS”.
Later that day, she highlighted concerns about stalking in the United States: “Nearly 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men in the U.S. will experience stalking. It’s overlooked and dismissed all too often. Stalking is a serious crime, and it takes all of us to respond. This #NationalStalkingAwarenessMonth, learn more by checking out the resource below.”
On January 24, Salinas commented on an incident involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minnesota: “I’m horrified and outraged that ICE has killed another person in Minnesota. ICE continues to put our communities in danger with their reckless and homicidal behavior. Trump must withdraw ICE from Minnesota immediately and impose a nationwide stand down. The Senate must vote to”.
Andrea Salinas has served as Oregon’s representative since 2023 after previously holding office in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California, in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
