Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on November 4, 2025, addressing both personal condolences and political criticisms.
In her first post of the day, Salinas expressed sympathy for the family of former Vice President Dick Cheney. On November 4, she wrote: “I am thinking of former Vice President Dick Cheney’s family. May they find peace during this time.”
Later that evening, Salinas addressed actions by President Trump and congressional Republicans. At 23:22 UTC on November 4, she stated: “I stood with my @HouseDemocrats colleagues to call out President Trump. His message is clear: He is willing to break the law to starve people.”
She continued her criticism in a subsequent post at 23:52 UTC the same day, outlining what she described as a “Republican To-Do List.” The tweet read: “The Republican To-Do List:
Slash Medicaid
Refusing to fund SNAP
Not extending ACA tax credits… which doubles health care premiums.
Bottom line: they are hiking up pricing on everything to make your lives harder.”
Andrea Salinas has served in Congress since 2023 after representing constituents in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas earned her BA from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994.
