Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress and serves as Ranking Member of the Forestry Subcommittee, recently addressed issues related to forest management and emergency preparedness on her social media account.
On September 16, 2025, Salinas wrote, “Nvm, got it https://t.co/sFTv5oRZk6”.
Later that day, she commented on efforts to repeal environmental protections: “As the Ranking Member of the Forestry Subcommittee, I called out @SecRollins & President Trump for their efforts to repeal the 2001 Roadless Rule. This repeal would threaten nearly 60 million acres of our pristine forests & increase the risk of wildfires, jeopardizing our health,” posted on September 16, 2025.
The following day, Salinas highlighted National Preparedness Month: “September is National Preparedness Month — a reminder to have a plan and stay ready in case of emergencies. Don’t wait until it’s too late! With wildfires on the rise, preparedness is essential. Check out these resources https://t.co/W4XyvNMZ48”, dated September 17, 2025.
Andrea Salinas has represented Oregon’s 6th District in Congress since 2023 after serving in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
