Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, addressed a range of national issues in a series of tweets on November 19, 2025.
In her first post of the day, Salinas highlighted her involvement with survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse ahead of a congressional vote. She wrote, “Before yesterday’s vote, I joined my @DemWomenCaucus colleagues to hear from the survivors of Epstein’s abuse. There is still more work to be done, but we are one step closer to delivering justice to these brave survivors and providing transparency to the American people.” (November 19, 2025)
Later that afternoon, Salinas criticized former President Donald Trump for his approach to economic and healthcare challenges facing Americans. In her tweet she stated: ” President Trump does not care if you can’t put food on the table. President Trump does not care if you can’t pay your health care premiums. President Trump does not care about you or your children. President Trump only cares about himself and his billionaire buddies.” (November 19, 2025)
Addressing rural health concerns later that evening, Salinas pointed out gaps in mental health services outside urban centers and emphasized legislative efforts to improve access through telehealth initiatives. She tweeted: “There’s a mental health care crisis in rural America. As a founding member of the Rural Health Caucus, I’m working to strengthen the workforce & take advantage of telehealth to ensure rural communities receive the care they deserve.” (November 19, 2025)
Andrea Salinas has served as Oregon’s representative since 2023 after previously holding office in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. Born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently residing in Tigard at age 53, she holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley earned in 1994.
