In her first post of the day, Salinas extended birthday wishes to a fellow lawmaker: “Happy (belated) birthday to my friend and colleague, @RonWyden! https://t.co/h3ipuq7nqD” (May 4, 2026).
Later that afternoon, Salinas addressed economic concerns affecting local businesses in Oregon. She wrote: “From tea, to yarn, to toys… Trump’s tariffs are driving up costs and hurting Oregon businesses.
Salinas concluded her posts by recognizing educators during Teacher Appreciation Week: “Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! A huge thank you to our teachers for their tremendous work and commitment to shaping America’s future leaders.
As your Congresswoman, I’m working to deliver the resources and support you need to succeed.” (May 4, 2026).
Andrea Salinas has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after previously holding office in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. Born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently residing in Tigard at age 53, she earned her BA from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994.
