Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who has represented Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023 and previously served in the Oregon House of Representatives, posted a series of statements on social media addressing concerns about federal policies and local engagement.
On May 21, 2026, Salinas criticized former President Trump’s actions by stating, ” Oregonians are paying the price for President Trump’s illegal war.”
The following day, she called on the Trump Administration to ensure public participation regarding land management issues: “The Trump Administration needs to promise they will give Americans the full opportunity to make their voices heard when we say, ‘hands off our public lands.'” This reflects ongoing debates over federal oversight and public input on national lands.
Later that same day, Salinas invited constituents to an upcoming event: ” REMINDER: Join me on Tuesday for a town hall in #Salem to get an update on the work that I’m doing for you and your neighbors!”
Andrea Salinas was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. She earned her BA from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994.
