In her first post at 01:27 UTC, Salinas stated: “As Trump continues to try to erode the cornerstone of our democracy, I am fighting back to safeguard your voting rights. Make sure to RSVP to tune in to our conversation on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM PT.”
Later that morning at 02:00 UTC, she commented on former President Donald Trump’s stance regarding mail-in ballots by writing: “President Trump calls vote-by-mail “cheating,” yet he uses it himself…”
In another tweet posted at 18:48 UTC the same day, Salinas acknowledged the work of Capitol security personnel with a message reading: “K9 Pete is such a good boy who works hard to keep our U.S. Capitol safe Thank you to K9 Pete and our law enforcement officers for the work you do day in and day out.”
Andrea Salinas has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after previously holding office in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. Born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently residing in Tigard, Salinas graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in 1994.
