Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, marked several key issues on her social media account on February 4, 2026, including voting rights, youth mental health, and cancer awareness.

In a post commemorating the anniversary of the ratification of the 15th Amendment, Salinas wrote on February 4: “The 15th Amendment was ratified on this day in 1870 — banning racial discrimination at the ballot box. Today, Trump is trying to threaten our right to vote, but I’m working to ensure every Oregonian can make their voice heard.”

Later that day, Salinas highlighted her participation in a panel discussion focused on youth mental health. She stated on February 4: “I joined @PunchbowlNews alongside my Mental Health Caucus Co-Chair @RepTonyGonzales for a panel on youth mental health. Mental health shouldn’t be a partisan issue. Young Americans are facing a mental health crisis, but we’re focused on delivering real solutions.”

Addressing public health concerns, Salinas posted about World Cancer Day and the impact of cancer across the United States. On February 4 she wrote: “Cancer affects countless lives. Roughly 2 million Americans were diagnosed last year alone. On World Cancer Day, let’s remember those we’ve lost, support those who are currently battling, and advocate for better prevention and treatment. Learn more about prevention below.”

Andrea Salinas has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after representing constituents in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. Born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and now residing in Tigard, Salinas graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a BA in 1994.
