Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, used her social media platform on February 25, 2026, to address a range of policy issues including women’s rights, anti-discrimination efforts, and immigration enforcement.

In one post dated February 25, 2026, Salinas stated: “Trump and Republicans are making life harder — and more expensive — for women. Costs are rising, health care is out of reach, and our safety is at risk. My @DemWomenCaucus colleagues and I are fighting for a better future.”

Later that day, she addressed discrimination based on identity or sexual orientation: “No one deserves to live their lives in fear of discrimination or hate because of who they are or who they love. As a vice chair of the @EqualityCaucus, I will not stop fighting until the Equality Act is the law of the land.”

In another post from February 25, Salinas referenced actions by federal immigration authorities: “.@SenJeffMerkley and I will not stand idly while the Trump Administration and its ICE vigilantes terrorize our community. That is why we introduced a new bill to allow people to sue ICE & CBP for violating their constitutional rights. ICE must be held accountable to put a full”

Andrea Salinas has served in Congress since 2023 after previously serving in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
