On December 3, 2025, Salinas stated: “Trump is making it harder for Americans to get help from the Social Security Administration. I’m introducing a bill to require SSA to reinstate the customer service data metrics that they eliminated from their website earlier this year. The American people deserve full”. This message signals her intent to introduce legislation aimed at restoring public access to customer service performance data on the Social Security Administration’s website.
Later that day, Salinas shared details about her recent oversight activities concerning immigration enforcement. She wrote: “Last week, I visited the ICE detention center in Tacoma to ensure ICE is treating detainees humanely and honoring due process. In this post dated December 3, 2025, she raised concerns about transparency and conditions at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility following her site visit.

Andrea Salinas has served in Congress since 2023 after representing constituents in the Oregon House of Representatives for six years. Born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently residing in Tigard, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley (graduated in 1994).
