Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who has represented Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, recently used her social media platform to share updates on upcoming events and public policy positions.
On May 21, 2026, Salinas announced an in-person town hall event: ” I will be hosting an IN-PERSON town hall next Tuesday at 6 PM in #Salem! Join me at Chemeketa Community College to share your concerns and hear updates on the work I’m doing for you! Learn more https://t.co/F6uYInlqh0 https://t.co/jS3ffPTUmX”. The town hall is scheduled to take place at Chemeketa Community College in Salem.
Later that day, Salinas commented on healthcare policy with a direct statement: “Healthcare decisions are between a doctor and the patient. Not RFK Jr.” (May 21, 2026).
She also addressed wildfire safety as Memorial Day weekend approached. In a tweet posted on May 21, she wrote: “Smokey the Bear reminds us… Only YOU Can Prevent Forest Fires! Andrea Salinas was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. She earned her BA from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994. Before joining Congress in 2023, she served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023.
