Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of announcements and statements on her Twitter account regarding upcoming events and legislative concerns.On January 21, 2026, Salinas invited constituents to participate in an upcoming telephone town hall. (January 21, 2026).In another tweet published between these two invitations, Salinas addressed policy issues related to federal funding for food assistance programs in Oregon. She stated:

“Republicans’ Big, Ugly Bill cut food support for Oregon families — and then left our state covering their $114 million shortfall. After just one year in office, President Trump has left Oregonians sicker, hungrier, and poorer.”

(January 21, 2026).Andrea Salinas has represented Oregon’s newly created Sixth Congressional District since her election in 2022 and began serving in Congress in January of the following year. Before joining Congress, she served as a member of the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 until her election to federal office.
