Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, has recently used her social media platform to inform constituents about upcoming events and share her positions on national policy developments.

On August 12, 2025, Salinas announced an upcoming public event: ” ATTN #OR06 I am joining @RonWyden this THURSDAY, August 14th, at 5:00 PM PT for a public town hall! Join us at Western Oregon University’s Werner Center to hear more about the work we are doing for YOU in Congress! Thursday, August 14th 5:00 PM PT 400 Monmouth”. The town hall is scheduled to take place at Western Oregon University’s Werner Center and will include Senator Ron Wyden.

Later that day, Salinas commented on recent legislative developments with a critical perspective on Republican-backed policy proposals. On August 12, she posted: “Breaking: Trump’s Big, Ugly Bill leaves working Americans in the dust. Who could have guessed?! A NEW nonpartisan analysis found that Republicans’ Big, Ugly Bill will make the richest even richer, and the poorest even poorer.” She included a link to further information in her post.

On August 13, Salinas addressed labor rights issues related to federal agencies under the Trump administration. She wrote: “The Trump Admin just cancelled the EPA’s collective bargaining agreement. This is yet another assault on workplace rights and the environment. As your member of Congress, I will continue to stand with @AFGENational and American labor to safeguard the rights of our workers.”

Andrea Salinas has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after previously serving in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. Born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently residing in Tigard, she holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley (1994).
