Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on her official Twitter account on March 18, 2026.
In her first post of the day, Salinas announced an upcoming virtual event aimed at assisting constituents with federal agencies. She wrote on March 18: “Need help with a federal agency like the VA or Social Security? My office will be hosting a VIRTUAL casework hour on March 25, 2026, from 12 pm to 1 pm PT to answer your questions about navigating a federal agency. Secure your spot https://t.co/vXb8z2aOe0 https://t.co/vHvQX8fEl7”.
Later that afternoon, Salinas congratulated a local high school basketball team for their recent achievement. On March 18 she stated: “March Madness started early in Tualatin! Congratulations to the Tualatin Timberwolves for their incredible championship victory in the Oregon 6A high school boys basketball state tournament! You have to see this storybook finish for yourself https://t.co/ZDpDX82gHW”.
In her final tweet of the day, Salinas addressed national immigration policy and expressed support for Dreamers. She posted: “Trump promised to go after the ‘worst of the worst.’ Instead, he is targeting Dreamers — children who were brought to the U.S. and who have followed the rules. I joined my @HispanicCaucus colleagues to stand with Dreamers, their families, and the communities that rely on them.”
Andrea Salinas has served in Congress since 2023 after previously holding office in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. Born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently residing in Tigard, Salinas graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in 1994.
