Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who has represented Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, recently addressed her constituents through a series of posts on social media. The messages focused on government spending priorities and announced upcoming opportunities for community members to receive assistance with federal agencies.

On November 19, 2025, Salinas posted, “They are focused on spending taxpayer dollars to change the signage, but are refusing to make things more affordable for hardworking American families.” This statement highlights her concerns about federal resource allocation.

Later that evening, Salinas informed constituents of an upcoming virtual casework hour. On November 19, she wrote, “If you have questions about a federal agency, members of my staff will host a virtual casework hour on Monday, November 24, from 11 am to 12 pm to assist YOU. RSVP to receive a link on the day of the event https://t.co/9AZA9puQ7B https://t.co/CTme6hMq08” She followed this with a similar message in Spanish later that night: “Si tiene preguntas sobre una agencia federal, los miembros de mi personal darán una hora virtual de trabajo de caso el lunes 24 de noviembre, de 11 am a 12 pm para AYUDARLO. RSVP para recibir un enlace el dĂ­a del evento https://t.co/9AZA9puQ7B https://t.co/yjqIdkH3fG”

Andrea Salinas was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and now resides in Tigard. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994. Before her election to Congress in 2023, she served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023.
