Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who has represented Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, recently shared a series of updates on her official social media account. The posts highlighted upcoming community events, local achievements in sports, and new federal funding for law enforcement.
On February 23, 2026, Salinas announced an upcoming town hall meeting: “Hey #OR06! On Saturday, February 28, 3:00 PM PT, I am hosting an in-person town hall for you and your neighbors in #Wilsonville! Everybody is invited; no RSVP required. The following day, she congratulated Oregon athlete Jackie Wiles for her performance at the Olympics: “Congratulations to Oregon’s Jackie Wiles, who took home Olympic bronze with her teammate, Paula Moltzan, in the Women’s Alpine Skiing Combined! Later that same day, Salinas reported securing federal funds for Washington County law enforcement: “I called Washington County Chair Kathryn Harrington with some exciting news! I secured over $1,000,000 for the Sheriff’s Office to upgrade their patrol equipment, which will improve our local law enforcement’s efficiency and effectiveness and keep our residents safe.” (posted on February 24, 2026).
Salinas has served as a member of Congress since January 2023 after previously serving in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
