Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on her social media accounts addressing recent legislative developments and upcoming events.

On August 8, 2025, Salinas criticized Republican-backed energy legislation, stating, “You can blame higher energy costs on Republicans’ Big, Ugly Bill. The bill makes wind & solar energy more expensive in favor of outdated & costly coal power, making it more expensive to build much-needed energy infrastructure. That’s bad news for our environment, for our”.

Later that evening, Salinas invited constituents to an in-person town hall event with Senator Ron Wyden at Western Oregon University. She wrote on August 8, 2025: “Hey #OR06, I will be co-hosting an in-person town hall on Thursday, August 14th, with my friend, @RonWyden, at Western Oregon University’s Werner Center! Everyone is invited to come ask us about our work in Congress! Thursday, August 14th 5:00 PM PT 400 Monmouth Ave N,”.

In another post dated August 9, 2025, Salinas expressed concern over labor issues within the Department of Veterans Affairs: “VA Secretary Collins just terminated collective bargaining agreements at the VA. This will hurt our veterans and our workers. I’m proud to stand with @AFGENational in our work to support unions, not fight them.”
