Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who has represented Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, posted a series of tweets on January 13, 2026, addressing topics ranging from legislative priorities to Korean American Day and U.S. foreign policy.

In one tweet posted at 19:45 UTC, Salinas commented on a Republican-sponsored bill regarding showerhead performance: “BTW, Republicans are bringing a bill to the floor to ‘increase performance for showerheads’… yep, you read that right. SHOWERHEADS. Why not actually work on legislation that will lower costs for millions of Americans?”

Later that evening at 20:20 UTC, she marked Korean American Day by highlighting the contributions of Korean immigrants and local organizations: “Happy Korean American Day! 123 years ago today, the first Korean immigrants arrived in this country, and Korean Americans have played a vital role in our nation’s history ever since. In our state, the Oregon Korean Society in Beaverton has been a cornerstone of the Korean”

At 21:14 UTC, Salinas criticized former President Donald Trump’s approach to domestic and foreign policy issues: “Problem: President Trump is doing NOTHING to solve the real problems here at home. Trump’s Solution: Sidestep congressional authority and invade Venezuela. Watch to hear more on this https://t.co/BPxJWMLhG2”
