Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on August 25, 2025, highlighting her recent community engagements and advocacy efforts.

In a post from that day, Salinas addressed mental health concerns as students return to school: “The start of a new school year can be stressful for students and parents alike! Let’s make mental health part of the back-to-school checklist. Check out these @NAMICommunicate resources #MentalHealthMonday https://t.co/7J7DefQORG” (August 25, 2025).

Later, she reported on her visit with local leaders at the Woodburn Rotary Club: “It was great connecting with local leaders at the #Woodburn Rotary Club to share updates about my work for #OR06. That evening, Salinas thanked Minto Island Growers for hosting her at their Salem farm and acknowledged Oregon Tilth for organizing the visit: “Thanks to Minto Island Growers for welcoming me to their Salem farm and to Oregon Tilth for coordinating! Salinas has served in Congress since 2023 after previously serving in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
