Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted her engagement with local constituents and key policy issues through a series of posts on social media.

On July 30, 2025, Salinas expressed gratitude to participants of a virtual immigration town hall, stating, “Thank you to everybody who joined me and @repbonamici during Centro Cultural’s virtual immigration town hall. These issues are personal, and I appreciate your willingness to show up, ask questions, and seek support. (1/2)”

The following day, she shared details about her visit to a local water facility: “I took a tour of the Durham Water Resource Recovery Facility, which plays a role in protecting the Tualatin River & managing waster resources for 600k+ people in #WashingtonCounty. Ensuring our communities have the infrastructure to protect our water is crucial for our health” (July 31, 2025).

Later that same day, Salinas addressed mental health investment in an op-ed promotion: “By investing in mental health professionals now, we can save resources in the long run by reducing the number of mental, behavioral, and addiction crises and by cutting back on costly emergency room dependence.” (July 31, 2025).

Andrea Salinas has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after previously serving in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994.
