Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, addressed several issues on her social media account on December 5, 2025, focusing on health care policy, energy costs, and federal funding for local infrastructure.
In a post from December 5, Salinas stated: “Some people are going to have to go without health care because Republicans have yet to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits. If they’re serious about helping American families, they should work across the aisle with @HouseDemocrats to extend ACA premium tax credits.”
Later that day, she commented on national energy prices under former President Trump: “Since President Trump took office, energy costs have skyrocketed 11%. He promised hardworking American families with lowering the cost of living, instead he gave massive tax breaks to his billionaire buddies. He turned his back on you and lied.”
In another post from December 5, Salinas shared news regarding infrastructure improvements in Carlton: ” I called #Carlton Mayor Watkins to give her some good news that federal funding is heading their way to improve and update critical infrastructure. Listen to our call to hear more about the project https://t.co/j887HUanvm”
Andrea Salinas has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after previously serving in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. Born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently residing in Tigard, Salinas holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
