Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on her social media accounts highlighting recent legislative efforts and policy positions.
On March 24, 2026, Salinas recognized National Agriculture Day by thanking agricultural workers in Oregon: “Happy National Agriculture Day! Thank you to the many Oregonians who work hard every day to put food on our tables and sustain our communities. As a member of @HouseAgDems, I’m proud to support and empower our growers and producers across the Willamette Valley. https://t.co/yESTspyljm”
The following day, March 25, 2026, she announced funding for local transportation initiatives: “I’m proud to have secured $3,000,000 for @Cherriots to help make it easier and safer for Oregonians to reliably get where they need to go. I’ll keep fighting for projects that make everyday life more affordable and manageable for working families across our district. https://t.co/ChW4dSpV1p”
Later that same day, Salinas addressed concerns about barriers faced by immigrants seeking citizenship: “People who have followed the law, worked hard, and earned U.S. citizenship should not be denied it at the last minute. The Trump Administration’s cruel and arbitrary barriers betray the principles of fairness and justice that Oregon stands for. https://t.co/43cmhqTIgX”
Andrea Salinas has served in Congress since 2023 after previously holding office in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
