Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on her official X account on October 14, 2025, addressing topics ranging from health awareness to political commentary.
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Salinas posted on October 14, 2025: “October is #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, a time for us to learn about the potential symptoms Some symptoms may include: New lump in the breast or underarm Irritation or dimpling of breast skin Pain in any area of the breast And more. Later that day, Salinas acknowledged a personal connection with a fellow lawmaker, writing on October 14, 2025: “Happy birthday to my friend and colleague @RepBonamici! https://t.co/XEvns6CMmm”.
In a separate post, Salinas criticized former President Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers, stating on October 14, 2025: “President Trump & Republicans are making the cost of living too HIGH His reckless tariffs & Republicans’ Big, Ugly Bill are DRIVING UP prices on food, energy, & health care. Working families are left footing their bill.”
Salinas has served in Congress since 2023, following her tenure in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994.
