Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of tweets addressing constituent services, honoring historic Oregonian women, and criticizing federal management of public lands.
On March 25, 2026, Salinas informed constituents about a virtual casework hour for those needing assistance with federal agencies such as the VA or Social Security. She wrote: “If you or a loved one needs help with a federal agency like the VA or Social Security, members of my team will be hosting a virtual casework hour TODAY from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm PT
To join our virtual casework hour, RSVP using the link below or give my office a call at (503) https://t.co/z292gKLEnW” (March 25, 2026).
Later that day, in recognition of Women’s History Month, Salinas highlighted influential women from Oregon’s past. She tweeted: “In honor of Women’s History Month, I wanted to highlight some trailblazing Oregonian women.
There’s Abigail Scott Duniway, a vocal advocate for women’s suffrage and the first woman to register to vote in Oregon; Mercedes Deiz, the first Black female lawyer and judge in Oregon;” (March 25, 2026).
In another post on March 25, Salinas criticized the Trump Administration’s handling of public land maintenance. She stated: “The Trump Administration is letting America’s beloved trails fall into disrepair. Last year, the total miles of trails maintained by the Forest Service fell by 22%.
@RepKimSchrier and I are leading 21 of our colleagues in demanding answers and ensuring our public lands remain” (March 25, 2026).
Andrea Salinas has served in Congress since 2023 after previously working in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. Born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently residing in Tigard at age 53, she holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley earned in 1994.
