Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on her social media account regarding upcoming events and legislative initiatives.
On February 2, 2026, Salinas reminded constituents about an educational opportunity: ” ATTN Don’t forget that I’m hosting my 3rd annual Federal Grant 101 Webinar this Wednesday at 9:30 AM PT! We’ll discuss available federal grants and how to prepare your application. RSVP here https://t.co/vYQGOEiZ60 https://t.co/Yka4DDgKAT”. The event aims to inform participants about federal grant opportunities and guide them through the application process.
Later that day, Salinas commented on national housing policy: “First-time homebuyers just want a foot in the door. President Trump wants to slam the door in their face. This is a slap in the face to hardworking folks who are just trying to provide for their families.” This statement reflects her concerns about recent policy actions affecting prospective homeowners.
In another post from February 2, Salinas announced new legislation: “No one is above the law, and my new bill with @SenJeffMerkley makes sure of that. Read more about the ICE and CBP Constitutional Accountability Act https://t.co/pidvMwlBLo”. The bill aims to ensure accountability for federal agencies such as ICE and CBP.
