Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, representing Oregon’s 6th District, used her social media platform in recent days to address issues ranging from labor rights to mental health awareness.
On August 30, 2025, Salinas referenced several colleagues and news organizations in a brief post: “CC: @HispanicCaucus, @RepEmilyRandall, @RonWyden, @Sen_PattyMurray, @Oregonian, @seattletimes”.
In a September 1 post marking Labor Day, Salinas wrote: “Happy Labor Day! Having grown up in a union family, I’m proud to stand with working Americans to celebrate the progress that organized labor has made. I’ll keep fighting to build on that progress — to guarantee fair wages, benefits, and conditions.”
Later that day, she recognized the beginning of Suicide Prevention Month. In her message she stated: “Today marks the start of Suicide Prevention Month. This is an extremely personal subject for me, and I know it is for many of you too.
As Co-Chair of the bipartisan Mental Health Caucus, I will keep fighting to raise awareness, improve access to support, and normalize reaching https://t.co/0EeGPHE04K“.
