Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on her official Twitter account about community engagement, federal services, and space science between August 4 and August 5, 2025.

On August 4, Salinas posted a message highlighting NASA’s astronomical achievements: “FUN FACT: The telescope is named after NASA’s first chief astronomer, Dr. Nancy Grace Roman, who played a vital role in the development of the Hubble Space Telescope! Learn more about @NASARoman below (2/2) https://t.co/xHK4UwXEer”.

The following day, she addressed constituents preparing for summer travel: “Gearing up for a summer getaway and need help with your passport? Don’t let passport issues hold you back from enjoying your vacation! My office is ready to help you navigate federal agencies. Contact my office at https://t.co/IBFrUy3muJ today so you can travel with peace of” (August 5).

Later on August 5, Salinas reported meeting with Aumsville Mayor Angelica Ceja Ochoa to discuss local initiatives: “I met with Aumsville Mayor Angelica Ceja Ochoa, and we had a productive discussion about the steps that the City is taking to improve its residents’ lives. Andrea Salinas has represented Oregon’s 6th District in Congress since 2023 and previously served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. Born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently residing in Tigard, Salinas graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994.
