Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, recently used her social media platform to highlight support for small businesses, honor mothers and caregivers, and address children’s mental health.

On May 11, Salinas addressed child mental health awareness by stating: “Parents and caregivers are often the first to notice changes in mood, sleep, appetite, or behavior. Those shifts can be signs a child needs extra support. #MentalHealthMonday”
Andrea Salinas has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after previously serving in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 through 2023. Born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently residing in Tigard at age 53, Salinas earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994.
