Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, addressed a range of issues in a series of tweets posted on December 20, 2025.
In her first post on December 20, Salinas highlighted toy safety during the holiday season, stating, “December is Safe Toys & Gifts Month Playing with toys should not come at the cost of the health and safety of some of our youngest citizens. Before giving a gift this year, make sure to inspect the toy’s safety and age range. Learn more about tips and related toy recalls”.
Later that day, she commented on broader issues of justice and accountability: “The American people deserve the FULL truth. The rich and powerful must be held accountable. Most importantly, the survivors deserve justice.” This tweet did not specify an incident but emphasized transparency and support for survivors.
In her final post on December 20, Salinas recognized the anniversary of a military branch: “Happy birthday to the U.S. Space Force! As a member of the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, I’m grateful for the Guardians who are working to advance our security and innovation on the final frontier. “
Andrea Salinas has served in Congress since 2023 after representing constituents in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas earned her Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley in 1994.
