Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who has represented Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, marked Memorial Day and announced upcoming town hall events in a series of social media posts.
On May 25, Salinas honored fallen service members, stating, “This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who paid the ultimate price in service of our nation. We will never forget their courageous sacrifice, and we owe them more than words can express.”
Later that day, she invited constituents to an event in Salem with the post: “Want the latest on what’s happening in Congress and how it’s impacting Oregon families? Then come to my town hall tomorrow evening in Salem!” The announcement included a link for further information.
On May 26, Salinas issued a reminder about the event: “REMINDER: I will be hosting a town hall TODAY at 6 PM PT! Hope to see you there!”
Andrea Salinas previously served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California, in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
