Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, addressed several issues on her social media account on January 8, 2026.
In a post commemorating the fifteenth anniversary of the Tucson shooting, Salinas stated on January 8: “15 years ago, six people were tragically killed and Congresswoman Gabby Giffords was nearly assassinated in Tucson, Arizona. Today, we remember those lost and honor the victims by condemning all political violence.”
Later that day, she shared her recent remarks from the House Floor regarding health care policy. On January 8 she posted: “I just spoke on the House Floor in support of extending ACA tax credits. Millions of Americans are counting on us. Let’s get it done. Watch here https://t.co/tJvsxpbnKP”
She also encouraged constituents to review her formal statement about a congressional vote held that day. Her post at 22:41 read: “Read my statement on today’s vote. https://t.co/PlBs1ICvPf”
Andrea Salinas has served in Congress since 2023 after previously representing constituents in the Oregon House of Representatives for six years. She was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
