Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on her official Twitter account addressing national policy and commemorative events.
On May 26, 2026, Salinas criticized former President Donald Trump’s economic promises, writing, “Trump promised to lower costs on day 1. He lied.”
Later that day, she shared her participation in a Memorial Day event with local veterans and city officials: “I joined VFW Post 3452 and the City of Tualatin in honoring our brave servicemembers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. Memorial Day also reminds us to honor our Gold Star families who carry that loss every single day. May we never forget those who gave everything.” (May 26, 2026).
On May 27, 2026, Salinas extended holiday greetings to constituents celebrating Eid al-Adha: “Eid Mubarak to all those celebrating Eid al-Adha in #OR06! May today be filled with joy and prosperity for you and your family.”
Salinas has represented Oregon’s 6th District since 2023 after serving in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
