Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who has represented Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, posted a series of messages on March 13, 2026, addressing several policy issues and actions by the Trump Administration.
In her first post that day, Salinas criticized federal nutrition policy changes: “FRIDAY REMINDER The Trump Administration has STRIPPED federal nutrition assistance from MILLIONS of Americans — including nearly two million children.” (March 13, 2026).
Later that evening, she commented on recent developments affecting federal workers and veterans: “This is a major win! We need to use every tool available to fight against President Trump’s cruel attacks on federal workers and veterans to put a stop to their chaos. Congratulations, @AFGENational!” (March 13, 2026).
Salinas also discussed environmental protections during an event with the American Lands Project: “I recently spoke at the American Lands Project reception about how I am fighting for Roadless Area protections. These pristine, wild forest lands represent some of our most important natural resources, and Trump is hell-bent on dismantling these existing safeguards.” (March 13, 2026).
Andrea Salinas was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Before her election to Congress in 2023, she served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023.
