Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on her work and policy priorities through a series of posts on her official Twitter account.
On May 28, 2026, Salinas expressed gratitude to a local civic group, stating, “Thank you to the Tigard Rotary for having me! I gave them an update on the work I am doing to improve life for #OR06 and heard directly from members about some of the issues that matter most to them and their families.”
The following day, she highlighted her commitment to mental health care access as Mental Health Awareness Month concluded. On May 29, 2026, Salinas wrote, “As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, my bipartisan Mental Health Caucus colleagues and I remain committed to working together to find real solutions so everyone can access the quality, affordable mental health care they deserve. Help is always available by”.
Later that same day, Salinas commented on former President Donald Trump’s priorities in another post: “Trump is more concerned about putting his face on a $250 bill rather than making life affordable for you. These are his priorities.”
Andrea Salinas has served in Congress since 2023 after previously holding office in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023. She was born in San Mateo, California, in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. Salinas graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
