Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who has represented Oregon’s 6th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, used her social media platform on November 12, 2025, to voice opposition to a bill she believes will negatively impact thousands of Oregonians and to comment on federal spending priorities.
In a post dated November 12, 2025, Salinas stated: “Standing strong with my @HouseDemocrats colleagues to oppose this BAD bill, which will jeopardize care for 16,000 Oregonians in #OR06. I am a HELL NO on this bill.”
Later that day, Salinas commented on proposed federal expenditures: “$40 billion should be spent on health care, not to bail out Argentina. Hear more on my support of @RepHorsford’s Amendment “
On the same date, Salinas acknowledged the swearing-in of another member of Congress after an extended delay: “After 7 weeks of being barred from serving the people of Arizona’s 7th Congressional District, Rep. Grijalva has finally been sworn into Congress.”
Andrea Salinas was born in San Mateo, California in 1969 and currently resides in Tigard. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Before her election to Congress in 2023, she served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023.
