Marquis Oregon City Post Acute Rehab ranked as the second largest nursing facility in Clackamas County during the first quarter of 2026, based on Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) figures.

The facility offered 102 beds, 36 more than the county average for that time frame, serving an average of 50.4 residents in the first quarter of 2026.

CMS rated Marquis Oregon City Post Acute Rehab at 3 out of 5 overall, slightly under the 3.1 average rating for nursing homes in Oregon.

Avamere Rehabilitation of Oregon City had the largest capacity within the county during the quarter, providing 111 beds, followed by Stanley Post Acute with 96 beds, placing third.

Marquis Oregon City Post Acute Rehab reported no fines or penalties for the quarter ending March 2026.

The county had 11 for-profit nursing homes altogether in this period.

U.S. Census Bureau data associates the nation’s continued increase in older adults with declines in younger population groups. Between 2020 and 2024, Americans age 65 and up rose by 13%, while the number of residents under 18 declined by 1.7%. Over the past century, the older population has surged from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million in 2024.

A 2021 analysis indicates that about 28 million in this demographic may require long-term services and support. Projections also show that more than one-third will eventually need care in a nursing home.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
