Regency Gresham Nursing & Rehabilitation Center was named the third largest nursing facility in Multnomah County during the first quarter of 2026, data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) shows.
The facility offered 128 beds for residents—44 more than the Multnomah County average during that period—and provided daily care for an average of 89 individuals.
The CMS awarded Regency Gresham Nursing & Rehabilitation Center an overall rating of 4 out of 5, surpassing Oregon’s nursing home average of 3.1.
Within the same quarter, West Hills Health & Rehabilitation registered as the largest nursing home in the county by beds available, totaling 180, while Laurelhurst Post Acute & Rehabilitation listed 159 beds as the second largest.
As of Q1 2026, Regency Gresham Nursing & Rehabilitation Center reported no fines or penalties.
Multnomah County in Oregon was home to 29 for-profit nursing homes altogether.
U.S. Census Bureau estimates show that the nation has seen growth in its older adult population, while younger population groups have declined. From 2020 to 2024, the United States’ population of individuals age 65 and older increased by 13%, as the group under 18 years old dropped by 1.7%. Over the last century, the country’s older population has expanded significantly, from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million in 2024.
A study published in 2021 indicates almost half of adults in this segment—nearly 28 million people—will need long-term services and supports, with more than a third projected to need nursing home care eventually.
“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
