During the first quarter of 2026, Stanley Post Acute ranked as the third largest nursing home in Clackamas County, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Records show Stanley Post Acute had a 96-bed capacity, which exceeded the Clackamas County nursing home average by 30 beds in the quarter. The facility cared for an average of 85.6 residents at that time.

The CMS assigned Stanley Post Acute an overall rating of 3 out of 5, falling just short of the statewide nursing home average of 3.1 in Oregon.

For the same period, Avamere Rehabilitation of Oregon City operated as the county’s largest nursing home with 111 beds, followed by Marquis Oregon City Post Acute Rehab, which maintained 102 available beds.

Stanley Post Acute reported zero fines or penalties as of Q1 2026.

There were 11 for-profit nursing homes altogether in Clackamas County, Oregon.

U.S. Census Bureau estimates note that the nation’s population of older adults is rising, while younger age cohorts continue to shrink. Between 2020 and 2024, Americans ages 65 and older rose by 13%, with the under-18 population declining by 1.7%. Since 1920, the U.S. population of older adults has expanded significantly, growing from 4.9 million to over 61 million by 2024.

Findings from a 2021 study indicate that almost half of this age group—about 28 million—could need long-term services and supports. Additionally, projections show that more than a third of these individuals may eventually require care in a nursing facility.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
