WARNER PACIFIC UNIVERSITY: As we wrap up Women’s History Month we're pivoting to honor local history maker, Elena Rodriguez

16

Warner Pacific University issued the following announcement on Apr. 1.

As we wrap up Women’s History Month we're pivoting to honor local history maker, Elena Rodriguez. Raised in Dayton by immigrant parents, Elena is one of Oregon’s few Hispanic vintners. With property purchased in 1996 and planted in 2005, the family-owned #AlumbraCellars (Alumbra means “shining light”) was established in 2014. As an organic, biodynamic and sustainability focused business, it is ever-present with Elena to provide for sustainable lifestyles for all their workers while uplifting Hispanic leadership and heritage.

Elena is on the board of AHIVOY (Asociacion Hispana de la Industria del Vino en Oregon y Comunidad), a non profit providing education for vineyard stewards in the Willamette Valley.

We are proud to welcome #AlumbraCellars as a supporter of our fall Gala, All That Jazz.
