The City of Oregon City is now accepting applications for appointment of Commissioner on the City Commission to fill the seat vacated by Mayor McGriff. Applications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. The appointment will be valid through the first Commission meeting in January 2025. The City Commission is comprised of five members elected in staggered general election years, with the Mayor elected independently of the four Commissioners. This appointment will be in effect until the first City Commission meeting in January 2025. This Commission position vacancy is filled through appointment by a majority vote of the City Commission.
