The City Council is looking to fill volunteer member positions on the following committees.
The Budget Committee reviews the proposed budget each fiscal year and makes a recommendation on the budget to the City Council for final adoption. Typically meets the first three Monday’s in May in the City Hall Council Chambers. The seven member citizen membership has three open positions.
The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council regarding zoning and any long range planning activities that require Council approval. The Commission is also the decision making authority on Type III review land use proposals, including Variance and Conditional Use requests. Meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 6:30 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers as needed. Is a seven member Commission, with three open positions.
The Economic Development Advisory Committee is comprised of citizens and business owners, who advise and make recommendations to the City Council regarding economic needs in the city of Fairview. Typically meets once a quarter on the second Thursday of the month at 5:30PM at City Hall. Is a seven member committee, with three open positions.
The deadline to submit applications for appointment consideration by the City Council is Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Budget Committee and Planning Commission candidates will be interviewed prior to appointment consideration. Apply online at FairviewOregon.gov/CommitteeApplication.
